My name is Jordan Brotamonte, and I am a Filipina-American visual journalist based in Bellingham and Seattle, Washington. I recently graduated from Western Washington University with a major in visual journalism and a double minor in global studies and sociology.

As a minority in gender and race, I am passionate about covering issues of less-represented people in society. My goal as a journalist is to ensure that everyone, no matter their background, has equal coverage in the media and that their voices and stories are heard.

I have worked as an opinion reporter for the Western Front, where several of my stories were published. Additionally, I reported for Klipsun Magazine, with one story selected for print publication, and for Planet Magazine, with another story selected for print and online publication. I was also one of four WWU students who were selected for The Seattle Times’ Best of the Pacific Northwest symposium in April 2025. In the final quarter of my senior year, I interned with the Visual Media and Productions team at WWU, where I worked on school event coverage and strengthened my skills as a visual journalist.

Whether it's photography, videography, writing, or graphic design, I enjoy using my skills to create engaging content for a wide audience. I am always eager to work on new projects or opportunities that challenge me as a visual journalist. Please reach out if you’re interested in working together!
